Become a Certified Medical Assistant, Enroll Today!

The BRHireD Program is opening doors for people in the Baton Rouge area to get trained, certified, and employed as medical assistants—no experience needed to begin!

BRHireD is open to unemployed and employed individuals that would like to advance their career by becoming a Certified Medical Assistant, and are committed to two semesters of education and training with Baton Rouge Community College or River Parishes Community College. In addition to completing a two-semester training program, ideal candidates are willing to work on-site in healthcare settings, perform both administrative and clinical tasks, and take pride in caring for and helping others. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the BRHireD program will be selecting and enrolling the first full cohort in late 2025 for a January 2026 school start date. We will be sending out additional application materials and information to all interested applicants in October 2025.
